They are going to free a broker who made a French bank lose 6,000 million dollars
Kerviel was sentenced to three years in prison in 2010 for forgery, fraudulent entry of data into the bank’s trading room computer system and breach of trust after entering into unauthorized deals in 2008 that caused the bank to lose. for which he worked, Societe Generale, more than 6 billion dollars.
The lawyer for the former stockbroker has assured that he will serve the remainder of his sentence outside of prison and that he will have to wear an electronic bracelet.
Kerviel, 37, had been in jail since May and said the bank had turned a blind eye to its risky operations while generating income for the institution.
