Brazil lowers its growth forecast in 2014 to 0.90%


The Brazilian government has lowered the growth forecast for 2014 to 0.9% from 1.8% two months ago.

The Planning Ministry’s revenue and expenditure report, however, kept its forecast for tax savings and inflation stable at 6.20%.

The Central Bank of Brazil points out, however, that financial markets are forecasting growth of 0.30%.
